Process optimization for a malt house in Eemshaven
Holland Malt is a Dutch malt house where they make the best malts for over a 100 years for breweries and distilleries in over 50 countries worldwide, from small companies to big multinationals.
In 2005 Holland Malt built a brand new factory and they wanted to register all failures right from the start to keep the start-up phase, with all its expected problems, as short as possible and to have and keep a low level of process disruption as much as possible.
During the construction of the factory ProMISe was already connected to all process computers, which made it possible to direct the construction based on the findings in ProMISe. With ProMISe they could detect the less common failures that had potentially a big impact.
All of this has co-led to a very quick commercial success of the new factory, which, at the moment, has already doubled in capacity.
